10/25/2020 – A passenger of a van was intentionally harassing pedestrians on Sunday morning when his vehicle hit and killed a bicyclist, while simultaneously falling out of the vehicle and killing himself, as reported by Metro.
A few hours after the accident, investigators continued searching for the driver of the van, as it was a hit and run. The driver of the van is suspected to be a young Hispanic male.
The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. near Hollywood Blvd. and Sahara Ave.
This was not an isolated case. It has been reported that a group of drivers were engaged in reckless driving when the van left the group and veered towards the sidewalk, headed straight for a couple that was walking together.
The passenger stuck half of his body out and attempted to slap the pedestrians.
Unfortunately, it didn’t end there. They continued on the road and zeroed in on a woman in a bike lane near Sahara. The passenger again stuck his body out and slapped the woman who fell to the ground and surrendered to fatal injuries. She was only 55.
The momentum from the incident caused the passenger to fall out of the van and hit the asphalt for about 150 feet before he collided with a traffic light which instantly killed him.
The driver of the van is still at large.
